Well this is something which most of us had to say right from our schooldays ,especially everyday morning . However most of us tend to forget it right after our schooling . Well how is that possible ? Even now people in our country are getting educated , becoming affluent within months , settling down every minute . How is that we still forget to put side the differences of our states and our languages . Even now when we sit back and watch a hindi movie or a cricket match we say that this particular actor is from our state or so . Why does this happen .
Let tell something very similar incident which i had faced in sometime . Well i had landed down to Kerala for my higher education right from Tamil Nadu ( Chennai ) without any prior knowledge in Malayalam . To be frank i could hardly speak few sentences in mother tongue. Nor can read or write, but somehow managed to pull those wonderful couple of years . All this time i had i used to visit places , loved to meet new people and also loved to make new friends and move on with a new experience to share .
but the reason why i am here telling you all this is to formally introduce my nature to you , i love traveling even when i don't know where am i headed to , or how to do i do it ..all it matters to me is that i reach my destination . So come to crux of the story is about this state and language discrimination . Whenever i had opened my mouth and uttered few words in Malayalam ( actually to work on my language and improve it so that it helps to give better command over the language ) , but how unfortunate of me the next question which is shot from the person in the other end is "Are a Tamil guy ?" For which i do reply saying ya . i was brought up in Chennai for many years so i never learned Malayalam .Next moment i meet two sects of people 1. would be people who think i am really a tamilian or the 2. next sect would comprise of people who are totally fanatic about Malayalam and who think their mother tongue should get the preference of the national language and so everyone ought should learn it , which actually sounds nuts .
The reason why i cant digest the fact that people discriminate each other is a pretty obvious one "No mans an island " for instance a state like Kerala has a huge natural resources but lets deal with the fact Mallus are the laziest creatures in their home town (except for few people ) so what happens when there is a need for labor , most are outsourced labourers from Bengal , Tamil nadu and Bihar . Still there exits a huge gap between the people . Why is that especially in a state like Kerala which is considered to be the state with highest literacy rate . Why cant people start opening their mind and grasp the new set of ideas .
Frankly speaking if this is what our generation is going to do , then the dont worry the next generation will also follow us much better and try their best to divide each state into a kingdom and days of imperialism will be returned back to these nations like us where we never had a unity right from the beginning and we still claim unity in diversity .
